Encouraging Hope
Our prayer today is for hope that does not disappoint.
It is written: "And Hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us." (Romans 5:5)
Have your hopes ever ended in disappointment? Are you living without hope right now? Today's promise and prayer may be just for you.
LET'S PRAY:
Great and Mighty God, creator of heaven and earth - you are our Father in heaven. Father God, you are the great I AM. You are the God of the past - it is your story. You are the God of today, and you are the God of tomorrow - for you hold the future in your hands.
Lord, you are the one who gives meaning to life. You are the one who makes life worth living. You give us purpose in life; and you give us courage for today and hope for tomorrow.
God, thank you for your promise to us in your word today. The hope that you give us does not and will not disappoint us. And you guarantee this, because even now you put love in our hearts - love for you and love for others - through you're your Holy Spirit whom you have given us.
God, thank you for this beautiful promise. Father, we need you. Without you disappointment quickly overtakes us. Our fondest hopes quickly fade, and our courage is short lived. Lord, help us to believe your word, and to take your promises personally, for you know all about us, and you love us.

For in all of our unloveliness, this great God loves us still.
He loved us since the world began, and what's more, he always will.
Father, I pray for each of our prayer friends today. Whoever they are, I ask that this promise and this prayer will encourage them, and in reaching out to you in prayer, may their courage be lifted and their hope in you strengthened, because your hope does not disappoint.
God, answer our prayer according to your will.
We pray in faith and in the name of Jesus.
